How to Inject Semaglutide/Tirzepatide Injection Steps
- Assemble supplies: Gather the medication vial, a provided syringe, and an alcohol swab.
- Wash hands and prepare the injection site: Clean the injection site with the alcohol swab to be sure of proper sanitation
- Draw up the medication: Remove the seal on the vial, wipe the top with alcohol, and remove the orange cap from the needle. Insert the needle into the vial, turn it upside down, and draw the prescribed dosage, removing any air bubbles.
- Prep Prior To Your Injection: Pinch the injection site to create a firm surface. Insert the needle at a 90-degree angle into the skin and slowly inject the medication. Gently remove the syringe and discard the needle.
- Subcutaneous Injection: Inject on either side of the stomach (two inches from belly button), the back of your arm, or your thigh.
Semaglutide dosage
Dosage will vary for each individual. The medication is typically administered once weekly on the same day. It can be taken at any time of the day, with or without meals.
